Anxiety, Grief & Life Transitions Therapy in Jacksonville, FL

If you’re a young adult feeling stuck, overwhelmed by the pressure to have it all figured out, questioning your path, or holding yourself back from the life you actually want, you’re in the right place.

I work with people navigating the messiness of emerging adulthood, including anxiety that makes socializing feel exhausting, self-doubt that keeps you playing small, and that nagging feeling that everyone else somehow has it together while you’re still trying to figure things out.

Therapy is a space to slow things down and get curious about what’s really going on underneath the surface. Together, we can explore the patterns that keep showing up, understand where they come from, and build skills that actually hold up when life gets hard. The goal isn’t to become a completely different person or finally have everything figured out. It’s to feel more grounded in who you are, more confident in your choices, and more able to move toward a life that feels like yours.

Grief Therapy

Grief comes in many forms, and we aren’t meant to carry it alone.

You might be grieving the death of someone you love, but grief can also come with the end of a relationship, a friendship, a major life transition, a change in your health or identity, or the loss of a future you thought you were going to have. Sometimes grief is obvious. Other times, it shows up as anxiety, numbness, anger, loneliness, exhaustion, or feeling disconnected from yourself and the people around you.

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and there isn’t one “right” way to grieve. In therapy, we can make space for whatever is there without trying to rush you through it or turn it into something you need to “get over.” We can work through the pain while also finding ways to stay connected to what and who matters to you.

A Practical, Whole-Person Approach

I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness, but the real through-line is helping you understand your own patterns.

Why do you pull back when connection starts to feel close? Why does anxiety keep you stuck in your head instead of present in your life? Why does making the “right” choice feel so impossible? Why do you know what you want but still struggle to move toward it?

We’ll explore those questions together without judgment. Sessions are grounded, collaborative, and practical. We’ll work toward understanding what’s keeping you stuck while building tools you can actually use outside of therapy.

I also incorporate nature-based practices and creative expression when they feel like a good fit. Sometimes healing happens through talking and thinking things through. Sometimes it happens while walking outside, sitting quietly in nature, making something with your hands, or giving yourself space to experience something without needing to put it perfectly into words.

Nature-Based Therapy & Events

Nature can offer a different kind of space for reflection, connection, and healing. When appropriate, I incorporate the outdoors into therapeutic work through nature-based practices that invite you to slow down, get out of your head, and reconnect with yourself in a different environment.

I also offer nature-based experiences and events that create opportunities for connection, reflection, mindfulness, and creative expression outside of traditional office-based therapy. These may include guided nature walks, mindfulness experiences, grief and reflection gatherings, creative workshops, and other seasonal offerings.

These experiences are designed to give you room to breathe, reconnect, and be present without the pressure to have everything figured out. Whether you’re working through grief, navigating a transition, or simply craving a different way to connect with yourself and others, nature can become part of the process.

You Don't Have to Navigate This Alone

I know how hard it can be to reach out when everything already feels like too much. So if you’re here, I’m really glad you found your way here.
